FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for re-liquefying boil-off gas generated in primary tank of liquid hydrogen. Method includes: mixing boil-off with liquid hydrogen stored in a secondary liquid hydrogen tank so that part of boil-off gas is liquefied by heat energy of cryogenic liquid hydrogen; feeding remaining non-liquefied boil-off gas and vaporised hydrogen generated in said secondary liquid hydrogen tank, a liquid hydrogen receiving block unit for liquid hydrogen from hydrogen gas; wherein said apparatus, together with said unit producing liquid hydrogen refrigeration cycle includes a section in which hydrogen serves as a circulating coolant; liquefaction of remaining non-liquefied portion of boil-off gas and vaporised hydrogen using liquid hydrogen receiving apparatus.
EFFECT: invention enables to re-liquefy boil-off gas for further use in liquid form without causing interference with hydrogen liquefaction plant operation.
