FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used for application of metal coating on steel sheet. Method comprises applying a thin metal pre-coating with a thickness of not more than 200 mg/m2, fusing coating by irradiation with electromagnetic radiation or electron beam to whole of its thickness to form an alloy layer consisting of iron atoms of steel sheet and metal atoms of said coating, applying at least one additional metal layer, so that undoped metal content metal coating is at least 50 % and preferably from 80% to 99%. Proposed a coated steel sheet obtained using said method. Device for coating a steel sheet contains multiple baths (2) through which is carried a steel strip (1) in direction (v) of belt for applying metal layer by electroplating, and after first bath (2a, 2b) for pre-coating 3 is radiation source for irradiation with electromagnetic radiation or electron beam and subsequent coating bath (2c, 2d, 2e, …) for application of metal layers.
EFFECT: technical result is increased corrosion resistance of coated steel sheet, weldability, conducting high-quality drawing with increased energy efficiency and resources.
