FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of unstabilised austenitic stainless steel with improved set of service properties. Method involves melting of charge materials in furnace to produce melt of semi-finished product alloyed with chromium and nickel, which is transferred into ladle and supplied in unit of argon-oxygen refining and decarburisation melt till carbon content of not more than 0.02 % with following transfer of ladle to furnace-ladle unit where deoxidation and alloying is performed until obtaining of specified chemical composition of steel. Alloying is performed by introduction to molten steel of nitrogen in amount of 0.08÷0.30 % of melt mass and mish metal in amount of 0.05÷0.35 % of melt weight.
EFFECT: higher strength at sufficient ductility in used corrosion-resistant low-carbon chrome-nickel steels of 18-10-11 type, which provides for reduction of weight of welded structures, improved reliability and service life, lower losses of metal in production of metal products due to increased ductility at hot deformation.
