FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polyolefin composition which is particularly suitable for the production of pipes, and in particular, small diameter tubing. Polyolefin composition has a melt flow rate (230 °C/5 kg, ISO 1133) of 0.2 g/10 min to 4.0 g/10 min and containing from 85.0 to 99.5 wt.% of terpolymer of propylene, ethylene and 1-hexene, and 0.5 to 10.0 wt.% of the composition based on a copolymer of propylene and ethylene. Terpolymer of propylene, ethylene and 1-hexene has a melting point of 130 °C to 145 °C. Thus the content of derived units of 1-hexene was from 1.0 to 5.0 wt.% and the content of ethylene derived units ranges from 0.5 to 10.0 wt.%. Composition based on propylene ethylene copolymer comprises 12 to 52 wt.%; a propylene homopolymer or a copolymer of propylene and ethylene with a content of ethylene derived units from 0.1 to 4.5 wt.%, and from 48 to 88 wt.% of a copolymer of propylene and ethylene with a content of ethylene derived units from 15.0 to 42.0 wt. %.
EFFECT: polyolefin composition according to the invention is characterized by high impact resistance, especially at low temperatures.
