FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a triple copolymer of propylene/ethylene/1-hexene that is intended for production of pipes, and, in particular, small diameter pipes. Copolymer of propylene, ethylene and 1-hexene contains derivatives of 1-hexene units in the range from 1.5 to 2.6 wt%, content of derived ethylene units is higher than 1.4 wt % and fulfills to the following relation (1): C2 < C6 * 0.2 (1), where C2 - the content of ethylene derived units wt% and C6 - the content of 1-hexene derived units wt%. Ternary copolymer has a melting point of 130 °C-138 °C, melt flow rate (MFR, ISO 1133 230 °C, 5 kg) in the range from 0.1 to 3.9 g/10 min and melt flow rate (MFR, ISO 1133 230 °C, 2.16 kg) in the range from 0.5 to 1.9 g/10 min.
EFFECT: ternary copolymer according to the invention is characterized by high impact resistance, especially at low temperatures, which is suitable for pipes with walls of any configuration, except for pipes with smooth inner and outer surfaces.
