FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyolefin compositions, particularly to thermoplastic olefin compositions, to production and use thereof as modifiers of impact strength in polyolefin mixture compositions which can be used for injection molding of large-size articles. Polyolefin composition contains (A) 5–35 wt% propylene-based polymer containing 90 wt% or more of propylene links and containing 10 wt% or less of fraction soluble in xylene at 25°C (XSA), (B) 25–50 wt% ethylene copolymer and C3-C8 alpha-olefin containing from 0.1 wt% to 15 wt% of alpha-olefin links and containing 75 wt% or less of fraction soluble in xylene at 25°C (XSB), and (C) 40–55 wt% ethylene and propylene copolymer containing from 25 wt% to 75 wt% ethylene links and containing from 55 wt% to 95 wt% of fraction soluble in xylene at 25°C (XSC). At that propylene-based polymer (A) has melt flow index (230°C/2.16 kg) from 50 to 200 g/10 min and is a homopolymer or copolymer containing derivatives of one or more comonomers selected from ethylene and C4-C10 alpha-olefins, or mixture thereof, of propylene homopolymer with said copolymer of propylene.
EFFECT: polyolefin compositions produced according to the invention demonstrate low values of thermal shrinkage combined with improved mechanical properties.
