FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: user enters his/her own social network identifier (ID) into a reservation system, which is stored for future use. When the next user makes a reservation, the said user also enters their own social network ID and the system retrieves a list of related parties from the social network website, which can be a list of friends or contacts, and searches for the reservation made by any of the parties and having a matching criterion, such as a date and a destination. The system also sends to the next user the social network ID of the matching party. A match indicates that the user and the next user will be located at the same destination at the same time.
EFFECT: providing interaction between reservation systems and social network platforms.
