SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation and telemechanics. Device for automatic train separation contains sensors of presence of rolling stock on sections of span, connected to unit for generating command and control signals, which is connected with stationary radio units, connected with locomotive radio units. Device includes module for converting optical signal into digital signals and logical unit for determining state of sensors of presence of rolling stock on sections of span. As above sensors fibre-optic cable laid along span is used. Cable through optical signal conversion module into digital signals is connected to unit for determining state of sensors of presence of rolling stock, which is connected to unit for generating command and control signals.

EFFECT: increased throughput capacity.
