SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to automotive industry. Active buffer contains chamber and gas source. Chamber has split and thrust sides to make inner cavity. Gas source is attached to chamber for supply of filling gas into inner cavity during expansion of chamber. Chamber comprises variable ventilation hole for filling gas release. Chamber for active buffer comprises front and rear panels connected to each other to form filling in cavity, and has variable ventilation hole. Method of gas release of active buffer includes following steps: performance of ventilation hole in chamber; providing supply of filling gas into chamber; relief of filling gas through the ventilation hole.
EFFECT: better level of vehicle passengers protection is achieved.
