FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an active buffer for an automotive vehicle and an inflatable elastic balloon for it. Active buffer is installed on the inner trim surface of the passenger compartment in the motor vehicle. Plastic front wall unfolds in direction of deployment to passenger in passenger compartment. Plastic expandable element of the elastic balloon is connected along the outer perimeter with the front wall by a welded seam to form an elastic bottle. Welding seam has rated separation pressure. Supercharger communicates gas for inflation to inflate the elastic cylinder in response to a collision event. Elastic balloon element includes a plurality of ventilation openings made with possibility of adjusting gas inflation pressure for inflating during an impact according to passive safety profile of a passenger. Elastic balloon element further includes at least one mechanical stress relief vent valve comprising a frangible breaking seam partially embedded into an elastic balloon element, made with possibility of opening at break at specified pressure between passive safety profile of passenger and nominal separation pressure.
EFFECT: higher safety due to uniform inflation of the elastic balloon.
