FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to surgery, and can be used in treatment of hemangiomas. Propranolol is taken in a dose of 1 mg/kg a day in three times. Dose is increased during 3-6 days to 2 mg/kg. After 1-2 weeks 50 % of surface of hemangioma is treated with Nd:YAG laser in a pulsed mode with energy of 120 J/cm2. Areas untreated and treated with laser are alternated in a mosaic manner. Laser exposure is performed every 3-4 weeks until disappearance of hemangiomas. Termination of propanol therapy is carried out 3-4 weeks after last session of laser exposure.
EFFECT: method reduces risk of burns and scarring due to action of laser with low power against background of propanol therapy.
