METHOD FOR LASER REMOVAL OF PYOGENIC GRANULOMA Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B18/20

Abstract RU 2814754 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatric surgery, and can be used in surgical treatment of children with pyogenic granulomas. Laser removal of pyogenic granuloma (PG) is performed by laser photocoagulation. Laser coagulation is performed by contactless laser radiation with wavelength of 1,064 nm, pulses of 30 ms and pulse energy of 120–130 J/cm2, in two successive stages. At the first stage, laser coagulation of the exophytic part of the PG protruding above the surrounding skin is carried out contactless with impulses in a circular mode, performing them along the perimeter of the base of the PG with a radial direction of the pulses, until the supracutaneous part of the PG is completely destroyed, thereafter, coagulated PG tissue is mechanically removed. At the second stage, non-contact laser coagulation of vessels in the base of the PG is performed, for this purpose, a series of pulses directed perpendicular to the skin into the base of the PG is performed, laser with wavelength of 1,064 nm, pulses of 30 ms, pulse energy density of 120–130 J/cm2. In a particular case, if there is bleeding from the vessels of the PG base, the non-contact laser coagulation of the vessels of the second stage is repeated until the bleeding from the vessels of the PG base is completely stopped.

EFFECT: method enables radical removal of all PG vascular structures, including base vessels, which provides good clinical and aesthetic results of treatment.
