FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied to the treatment of infant skin hemangiomas in children. A method of treating superficially located forms of infantile skin hemangiomas in children includes an ultrasound examination, which determines the depth of the infantile hemangioma, depending on the depth of the infantile hemangioma lesion, an ointment with different concentrations of propranolol is used, and the ointment is applied three times, using cellophane in the form of a compress during the day with an exposure of at least 20–30 minutes, a course of 2–3 months. In the case of a superficial location of an infant hemangioma with a location depth of up to 1 mm, 1% propranolol ointment is prescribed, with a deep location with a location depth of up to 3 mm, 5% propranolol ointment is prescribed, and with a location depth of up to 5 mm, 10% propranolol ointment is prescribed. Propranolol ointment contains propranolol, water, lanolin, and optionally olive oil.
EFFECT: method allows to cure superficial or combined infantile hemangioma of any size at the stage of proliferation or involution.
