FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to exhaust system for automotive internal combustion engine. Exhaust system for automotive internal combustion engine running on lean mixtures, which releases nitrogen oxides (NOx) and solid particles (PM). System contains a NOx reducing catalyst for reducing NOx in presence of reducing agent, device to introduce reducing agent into exhaust gas stream and source of hydrocarbon reducer, a nitrogen-containing reducing agent and/or hydrogen, a filter for removal of PM of exhaust gas flowing in exhaust system, and an exhaust gas recycling (EGR) loop for connection of exhaust system downstream filter with engine air intake. EGR loop contains a NOx adsorbent catalyst (NAC) containing a NO adsorbent.
EFFECT: technical result is improved conversion of NOx, which can reduce emission of NOx of automotive internal combustion engines operating on lean mixes.
