FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oxidation catalyst for internal combustion engine operating on lean mixture. Device includes internal combustion engine operating on lean mixture, engine control unit and exhaust system for cleaning engine exhaust gas. Exhaust system includes the first oxidation catalyst, located on the first monolithic substrate with cellular structure. First oxidation catalyst comprises platinum applied on carrier based on the first metal oxide. Carrier includes at least one oxide capable to recover. First oxidation catalyst does not contain alkali and alkali-earth metals. Engine control unit is made with possibility of periodic modulation of lambda-composition of exhaust gas contacting with the first oxidation catalyst for enrichment of lambda-composition.

EFFECT: recovery of catalytic oxidation activity of catalyst.
