FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: exhaust system for treatment of exhaust gas formed by engine running on lean mixture, including: (i) a NOx-absorber (PNA 10) catalyst comprising a molecular sieve catalyst placed on a substrate, in which the molecular sieve catalyst contains a noble metal and a molecular sieve, wherein the molecular sieve contains a noble metal; (ii) device (20) for introducing hydrocarbons into exhaust gas; and (iii) NOx depleted trap (LNT/NSC 30); wherein the NOx-absorber catalyst located upstream of the hydrocarbon for introduction device to the exhaust gas and traps the lean NOx.
EFFECT: by including both a PNA and an LNT in an exhaust system, it is possible to store NOx over a broader temperature window.
