FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to treat keratoconus and high myopia with thin cornea. Femtosecond laser is used to make an intra-stromal tunnel in form of ring with inner diameter of 3-5 mm, external diameter of 7-9 mm at depth of 250-350 mcm. Tunnel is implanted with intra-stromal open ring, closing into a “lock” with ends, made at one side with a protrusion, on other side with a recess. Inlet tunnel recess is made with width of 1.0 to 3.0 mm, length from 0.5 to 3.0 mm from side of limb at “strong” axis of keratometry of cornea.

EFFECT: method enables to achieve flattening of central area of cornea, restoring its sphericity higher visual acuity.
