FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: MyoRing is implanted into a pre-formed intrastromal pocket, 7.0 to 9.0 mm in diameter with a femtosecond laser at a depth of 80-87% of the minimum corneal thickness through the input tunnel incision, 0.5 to 2.0 mm long, 4.0 to 6.0 mm wide, with a cut angle of 30 to 90°, which is performed from the side of the scleral sulcus along the "strong" axis of cornea keratometry. Application of a femtosecond laser allows to vary the depth of the intrastromal pocket and form it at a depth of 80-87% of the corneal minimum thickness, which allows to create a "frame" of a larger area of the cornea.
EFFECT: method reduces the risk of MyoRing protrusion due to creation of a frame for a larger area of the cornea located above the MyoRing.
