FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to dentistry, namely to instrumental methods of diagnostics of anomalies of oral cavity, and aims at determining dimensions of frenulum of tongue in children. Universal device to measure length of part of frenulum of tongue in children of excretory salivary glands to apical attachment point frenulum is made of medical steel with thickness of 1-1.5 mm and comprises handle with curved neck, integral with neck working part and swing working part connected using locking method. Working part is integral with slot and has two scales on both sides of slot with pitch of division of 1 mm, zero mark is aligned and is located on semicircular notch of whole working part and at base of flap working part. Length of measuring scale of whole working part is equal to 20 mm. Semicircular notch may be locked at outlet duct of salivary glands of bottom of oral cavity. Proposed working part is also made with central slot and measuring scale with length of 16 mm.
EFFECT: invention allows to measure length part frenulum tongue of excretory salivary glands of bottom of oral cavity to apical point attachment frenulum to lower surface of tongue with children both in vertical and horizontal position and provides improved quality of diagnosing anomalies attachment of oral soft tissues connection in children by providing accuracy of measurement and determination of indications for surgical correction.
