FIELD: medicine; surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery. A dissection of the frenulum of the tongue is performed in the transverse direction to the entire depth. The mucous membrane is mobilized in different directions. The bundles of the genioglossal muscle are dissected. Counter triangular flaps with angles of at least 60 degrees are formed in the central part of the wound. The dissection of the bundles of the lower longitudinal muscles and excision of the frenulum of the tongue are performed upward with the transition to excision of the fibrous median cord of the tongue.
EFFECT: method allows restoring the structure and functions of the tongue, eliminating the defect, ensuring the formation of a normal structure of the skull, achieving maximum elongation of the tongue, eliminating the development of relapse, and reducing the risk of scarring under the tongue.
