FIELD: communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Versions of system and method are provided for overhead transmission of reference signals and feedback of channel state information (CSI) for wireless communication. Method according to an embodiment, implemented by means of user equipment (UE) for measurement of wireless communication and CSI feedback, involves receiving from network at least one of first index which indicates corresponding reference resource CSI-signal (CSI-RS) with non-zero power, second index which indicates corresponding CSI-RS resource with zero power, third index which indicates corresponding CSI-RS resource for measurement of noise, and fourth index which indicates corresponding configuration of messages with channel quality indicator (CQI). Method also includes receiving from network at least one of fifth index which indicates corresponding periodic CQI message according to configuration of messages with CQI, indicated by fourth index and sixth index which indicates corresponding aperiodic CQI message according to configuration of messages with CQI, indicated by fourth index.

EFFECT: technical result is reduced amount of overhead.
