SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing equipment and can be used for research of plastic lubricating material mass transfer processes in operation of gear transmissions. Tooth-wheel model comprises a fragment of gear wheel, consisting of body, toothed rim and pair of ring pads made from optically transparent material, installed at ends of toothed rim and body parts adjacent to ends of rim; straps are removable, with possibility of installation between them and end faces of rims gaskets of different thickness and their combined fixation on ends of wheel; gaskets are made in form of rings, width of which is equal to width of straps; thickness of gaskets is same along full width; inner profile of gaskets is identical to internal profile of straps, and external profile of gaskets is identical to profile of toothed rim wheel.

EFFECT: technical result is broader functional capabilities of device.
