SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a side airbag for a vehicle. An upper hand portion of passenger P is pressed upward due to the sliding contact with the surface. Furthermore, even when seated passenger P moves by inertia at an angle towards the front of the vehicle, the shoulder part S can be retained by stretching forward part 32B.

EFFECT: provides increased security by the fact that the accommodation is not allowed resultant upper arm part of the seated passenger is between the chest of the seated passenger and side airbags, and a well-kept shoulder portion of the seated passenger irrespective of the form of a side collision.
