FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in turbocharged internal combustion engines with an exhaust gas recycling system. Method for controlling exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) flow in turbocharged engine comprises operating a low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (LP-EGR) system at a fixed EGR percentage rate of fresh airflow from mid-load down to a minimum engine load, even as load changes. Method also includes adjusting a high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (HP-EGR) rate based on a transition between the fixed percentage content of EGR and adjusted percentage content of EGR. Invention discloses AN engine operating method and system for vehicle engine.
EFFECT: technical result consists in supply into engine cylinders required ratio of exhaust gases recirculation system at transient operating conditions, when rotation rate and engine load change.
