SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a discontinuous centrifuge and can be used, in particular, for separation of crystalline sugar from suspensions of crystalline sugar. Discontinuous centrifuge comprises a rotatable centrifuge drum incorporating a drive spindle, a casing and a base, suspended in swinging manner, a hub of centrifuge drum, a scraper for scraping a product off inner wall of casing of drum, comprising scrape-off element capable of rotation around axis parallel with drum rotational axis. Scraper is installed irrespective of swinging suspension of drum and has no possibility of vertical movement. Drum hub comprises several supports for direct or indirect connection of drum casing with drum drive spindle. Consoles of hub have upper surfaces, which are located below drum base.
EFFECT: high efficiency due to reduced time of use, higher reliability of scraper, which can withstand heavy loads during operation.
