FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of preparing a catalyst precursor, which involves bringing catalyst support material into contact with tungsten compound to obtain tungsten-containing catalyst support material; calcination of tungsten-containing catalyst support material at temperature higher than 900 °C to obtain a modified catalyst support, in which a sufficient amount of tungsten compound is used so that tungsten compound is present in mass and on surface of catalyst support material in amount of not more than 12 wt% W per total weight of modified catalyst support; and adding a precursor compound of an active catalyst component, selected from a group consisting of cobalt (Co), iron (Fe) and nickel (Ni) on surface and/or in mass of modified catalyst support to produce a catalyst precursor. Invention also relates to a method of preparing a catalyst, which involves preparing a catalyst precursor and recovery thereof, thereby activating catalyst precursor and obtained catalyst. Furthermore, invention relates to a method for synthesis of hydrocarbons, which involves preparing a catalyst and hydrogen bringing into contact with carbon monoxide at temperature higher than 100 °C and pressure of at least 10 bar with prepared catalyst to obtain hydrocarbons and, optionally, oxygenates of hydrocarbons.
EFFECT: technical result is reduced solubility of catalyst support, improved characteristics of catalyst, specifically catalyst activity and resistance to leaching of Al.
