FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of ion-plasma coatings with wear-resistant and EP properties for operation in friction pairs “aluminium-steel”, “aluminium-cast iron”. Composite coating for aluminium or its alloys is made of four layers and includes layer of molybdenum, alternating nano layers of molybdenum nitride and molybdenum are applied, molybdenum nitride layer and layer of molybdenum. Structure of coating provides smooth change of plasticity of coating at transition from base through hard layers to external break-in layer of molybdenum, after wear of which wear resistance of coating as whole provide directly solid alternating nano-layers and layer of molybdenum nitride is applied. Bench tests results demonstrate that developed nano composite coating allow completely prevent burrs in pair with shell case cast iron in conditions of sliding friction in lubricant border conditions corresponding to operating conditions of parts of cylinder-piston group of engines.
EFFECT: relative increase in resistance reaches 20-80 times and wear of counter-body decreases in 4-5 times.
