FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of diagnosing osteoporosis in rheumatoid arthritis. Proposed method consists in the fact that patient's blood serum is investigated for the concentration of proteins and peptides and additionally examined for adiponectin level. If serum concentration of adiponectin is 44 mcg/ml and more osteoporosis is diagnosed, if the value 43.9 mcg/ml and lower normal is diagnosed bone mineral density.
EFFECT: using the method enables more accurate diagnosis of osteoporosis in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
