FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to design of ice breaker-ships to be operated in Arctic ice fields without ice breaker escort at minor depth of arctic shelf. Proposed ship comprises underwater cargo hull, bow and stern decks each arranged on main deck resting on stern and bow supports along which loaded water line runs. Underwater hull top deck features reinforced structure in the area of bow support. Bow deck support represents ice breaking device with ice breaking lines. Stern deck support moves apart crushed ice therefore its lines are formed by sharp water lines, for example, of lenticular shape, with width not exceeding 0.25-0.30 of underwater hull width. Stern deck support waterline area allows for additional floating capacity that causes lengthwise restoring moment to keep ship with, in fact, zero pitch on even keel.
EFFECT: reduced pitch due to restoring moment.
