SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a receiving device and method, transmitting device, which provides guaranteed download reservation of audiovisual (AV) content. Said technical result is achieved due to that a trigger detector detects trigger information transmitted together with AV content. Application engine acquires an application program for allowing selection of AV content for which download reservation is possible and that is transmitted in non-real time based on trigger information. Tentative reservation registering part registers AV content selected based on application program as tentative reservation. Definitive reservation registering part registers tentatively reserved AV content as definitive reservation if identifier of downloadable AV content included in download information periodically transmitted together with AV content is identical to identifier of tentatively reserved AV content.
EFFECT: providing download reservation of AV content, which is actually available at transmitting side.
