SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a receiving device, a receiving method and a program capable of preventing any process not intended by a user from being performed where a data broadcast service is implemented through transitions of documents. Receiving device acquires a description document described in a predetermined computer language for displaying a type of content different from AV content; determines whether acquired description document is managed by a broadcasting organisation broadcasting AV content or by a business operator other than broadcasting organisation; and controls execution of acquired description document in accordance with result of determination.
EFFECT: technical result is prevention of any process not specified by a user during broadcasting.
