FIELD: heat-and-power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used for air heating in experimental plants during testing of objects of aviation equipment, when it is required to feed to an article to be heated to temperature of T ≤ 800 °C air with working pressure Prab ≤ 6 MPa and mass flow rate from 0.5 to 8 kg/s. Air heater includes concentric working and cooling channels communicated via throttle. In working channel a row of sections of heater is installed in series. Each section includes coaxially installed power and sliding support tube sheets. In boards there are electrically insulated beams of tubular elements. Heating is performed from power supply via tight phase current leads in form of spacer in wall of outer body, and concentrically installed in spacer support and bearing tubes, which form a cooling channel of phase current lead. Cooling and working channels of air heater are connected with cooling channels of phase current leads.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of maintaining temperature mode, pressure and mass flow of air.
