DEFIBRILLATOR ELECTRODE PATCH WITH TWO LAMINATE TABS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61N1/04 A61N1/362 A61N1/39

Abstract RU 2585731 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method of applying electrodes of external defibrillator on patient is carried out using a system of electrodes, comprising a rigid non-conducting protective strip, on which there is pair of electrodes. Body of each electrode has first side and second side. First side comprises flexible moisture-impermeable barrier layer with heat-sealable material. Second side has a conducting layer. Supply lead is connected with flexible barrier layer of body at second end and electrically connects electrode with medical device through circuit from first side to second side of body. Layer of electrically conducting gel is located on body and additionally is electrically connected to conducting layer. Protective strip is tightly connected with flexible barrier layer on periphery of gel layer. First and second peel tabs are located on periphery of body at first and second ends. Tab for removal of mechanical stress connects second peel tab with feed wire in a configuration, which removes mechanical stress between feed wire and flexible barrier layer. Electrode body is separated from protective straps destroying seal with help of second peel tab. Body is gripped at first and second peel tabs. Gel layer is applied by gluing on patient's skin.

EFFECT: easier peeling without damaging electrode and high accuracy of adhesion of electrode to patient's chest.
