FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric engineering and is intended for measurement of insulation resistance of electric circuits of any kind of current under operating voltage or de-energized and insulated from ground. According to the given method the measurement cycle consists of two half-cycles. At the beginning of the first half-cycle controlled network is connected to source of controlled direct current; by two measured values a voltage equivalent capacity and duration of interval of time required for completion of transition process are calculated. In compliance with obtained results time intervals of measurement process are set. At the end of the first half-cycle values of current and medium voltage at the point of connection to controlled network are recorded. At the beginning of the second half-cycle direction of current in source of controlled direct current is changed and measured similarly, measurement results are processed by the formula while calculating the value of insulation resistance of the network. Device for measurement of insulation resistance of electric circuits implements the said method. Device includes control unit, first current-controlled unit, second current-controlled unit, unit of connection, controlled voltage source, filter unit, unit for measurement of current, voltage measurement unit, unit for calculating capacity, unit for generating time intervals and output device.

EFFECT: technical result consists in faster measurement of insulation resistance in the presence of small capacitances in controlled network.
