SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics. Patient with clinical signs of greater trochanter hip joint enthesitis bi-energy X ray absorptiometric examination is carried out, during which density of bone in abductor muscles fixation point is determined. If observing red colour on densogram, which in spectral scale corresponds to value of bone density of less than 0.3 g/cm2, trohanterit is diagnosed
EFFECT: method enables diagnosing trohanterit, along with significant reduction of radiation exposure on patient, including in presence of internal implants and external metal structures.
