METHOD OF TREATING IDIOPATHIC EXTENSION-DEFLECTION HIP JOINT CONTRACTURE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/00 A61B17/56

Abstract RU 2712004 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopedics and traumatology, and can be used for treating idiopathic extension-deflection hip contracture. Surgical approach is performed over a greater trochanter of the femur down to the middle thirds of the thigh along an external lateral surface. Upper point of greater trochanter of femoral bone is determined palpatory. Median gluteal, pyriform, inner and outer muscle constrictions are cut off from the posterior surface of the greater trochanter of femur to a pear-shaped fossa. Posterior portion of the hip pelvic joint with a square muscle is separated from the intertrochanteric line to a small trochanter. Performing flexion and bringing operated extremity in hip joint. Further, palpation in distal direction relative to the knee joint, define a tight dense fibrous glands of the gluteus maximus muscle on posterior surface of the femoral bone and dissect it from the fixation point on the posterior surface of femur. Tendons of the long and short adductor muscles, the combed tendon tendons in the region of the lateral and medial lips to the Aspera line are cut off. Continue bending and bringing an operated extremity in hip joint to complete elimination of hip extensor refractive contracture. Maintaining the operated extremity in the achieved position in the region of the hip joint with the bent knee joint simultaneously, the wide fascia of the thigh is closed. Then, operated extremity is unbent and subcutaneous fat and skin are closed.

EFFECT: method provides recovery of hip function, reduced risk of postoperative complications, possibility of earlier activation of patient by cutting off muscle tendons only in area of their attachment to posterior surface of thigh bone.
