FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for palliative surgical treatment of hip dislocation in patients with infantile cerebral paralysis. Method involves oblique osteotomy of the femur above the lesser trochanter and cutting off the greater trochanter with gluteus muscles attached to it, removal of the femoral head and neck, as well as reduction of the lesser trochanter into the cotyloid cavity and fixation of the greater trochanter with transosseous sutures to the lateral surface of the femur with tension of the gluteus medius muscle. Tendon of the iliopsoas muscle is separated, mobilized and transected at 2 cm of the lesser trochanter. Round ligament is shortened to 2 cm. Free ends of the tendon and the ligament are sutured together when the lesser trochanter is reduced into the cotyloid cavity.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of not only arresting the pain syndrome and correcting the faulty position of the extremity, but also enables resting on the leg after the surgical treatment while maintaining the maximum range of motion by isolating the tendon of the iliopsoas muscle, shortening the round ligament and suturing their ends.
