SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for drilling with automatic response to a detected event. A method of drilling a well comprises a detection of a drilling event by comparing the signature parameters created in the course of drilling, the signature event notifying of said drilling event, and automatic control of drilling operation in response to at least partial matching of the results of comparing said signature parameters with said signature events. When the sharp pressure increase alarm is issued a switch between (a) maintaining a desired pressure in the wellbore and (b) maintaining the desired pressure in the riser occurs automatically. Well drilling system comprises a control system that compares the signature of the parameters for the drilling operation with the event signature that signals of the specified drilling event, and a controller automatically controls the drilling operation in response to said drilling event, which indicates at least partial overlap of said signature settings with said signature event. Said control system is arranged in such a fashion so as to notify about the event of a sharp pressure surge, automatically switch between (a) maintaining a desired pressure in the wellbore and (b) maintaining a desired pressure in the riser.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the drilling efficiency.
