SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for tracking vehicles and cargoes. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that the device processor enables to register the operator device to receive notifications generated by the cargo blocking module, and present on the display at least one selectable option for activating the cargo locking of the vehicle, wherein the cargo locking determines that the operator has parked the vehicle and activated the device to report any movement of the vehicle, which occurs when the cargo lock is activated, the processor also generates and sends a notification on unauthorized movement or possible hijacking of the vehicle in response to receiving input data from the movement detection device, indicating that the vehicle is moving or being moved from the parking location when cargo locking is activated.
EFFECT: improved safety of vehicles and cargoes due to automatic detection of theft, reporting on it and tracking of stolen vehicles and cargoes.
