FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to energy. Method to more accurately determine the efficiency of the steam turbine, wherein the sealing steam in a steam turbine is redirected to more accurately determine the efficiency of the steam turbine. Some of the steam entering the turbine, passes to an end seal of said high pressure turbine and is then mixed with steam passing there through. From one of the mechanical seals of steam lines a tubing extension passes to the condenser. Said extension conduit includes a valve and a pressure measuring device, the temperature and flow rate. At the opening of the valve the flow volume flowing to the steam pipe mechanical seal to enable the mixing of steam mechanical seal with steam passing through the turbine is reduced. By reducing the flow in said steam pipe also decreases the temperature measured at the output of the turbine. Degree of opening of the valve is increased until a temperature of the outlet of the turbine reaches a minimum value, or enthalpy in the pipeline will not be different from the reference enthalpy.
EFFECT: invention improves the efficiency of the steam turbine.
