SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling network devices in network. Method involves determination of first path which connects network node to common network node of source along primary network tree, and determination of second path which connects network node to common network node of source along secondary network tree, wherein first path and second path show redundancy in relation to each other; reception in network node multicast data of common network node of source through first path; initiation, by means of network node, receiving multicast data of common network node of source through second path, if network node detects failure of first path, wherein primary network tree and secondary network tree are implemented as maximum excess trees.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of data transmission speed.
