FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to battery charging devices for electric traction vehicles. Battery charging device, in particular battery of an electric traction vehicle, from a single-phase power supply network, including a filtering stage configured to be connected to single-phase network, a voltage step-down stage connected to the filtering stage, a voltage step-up stage configured to be connected to battery and coupled to voltage step-down stage via an inductive component (Ld), such as an inductance coil, and a regulating unit configured to impose chopping duty ratios (a, as) on voltage step-down stage and on voltage step-up stage. Regulating unit comprises means for compensating for phase shift between input current (If) of voltage step-down stage and an input voltage (Vc) of voltage step-down stage.
EFFECT: high degree of controllability of a charging device.
