SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Assembly of lateral air bag comprises injector and side air cushion arranged in lateral section of vehicle seat backrest. Lateral air bag comprises front and rear part of pad, longitudinal and upper separation sections. Rear part of pad in its upper part has protruding section. Delivery device is located in rear part of pad. Longitudinal separating section separates front and rear parts of pad. Longitudinal separating section has connecting hole connecting inner space of front and rear parts of pad. Upper separating section extends in open position in diagonal upwards relative to front side of seat back from upper end of longitudinal separation section. Upper separating section separates protruding section from front part of pad and directed upwards relative to front side of seat back.
EFFECT: decreased weight of lateral air bag is achieved.
