SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric pulse processing of hard-alloy plates of cutting tool, and can be used in machining, machine building and instrument industries. In compliance with carbide inserts of cutting tool, which involves action on plate by pulsed electric current, exposure is carried out by electric current pulses with frequency of 10-100 kHz with energy of 1-100 kJ and exposure length of 10-3-10-5 s.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance, expanded technological capabilities of method implementation.
