FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to the micro-texturing of the surface layer of ceramic plates by electro-erosion treatment, it can be used at the final stage of manufacturing replaceable polyhedral ceramic plates based on α/β-modifications of the sintered SiAlON alloy. In the method, an electrically conductive multicomponent nitride coating is formed on the surface of a ceramic plate by vacuum-arc evaporation of cathodes based on titanium, chromium, titanium aluminides and silumin and condensation of the evaporated material on the surface of the plates in a nitrogen-argon gas mixture. After that, electro-erosion stitching of the texture is carried out in the form of micro-recesses on the sections of the ceramic plate that wear out quickly during operation, while using an electrode-tool made in the form of mechanically bonded and twisted tungsten threads. Electro-erosion stitching is carried out at an operating current of 1.0 A, a current pulse frequency of 20 kHz, an operating voltage of 70-108 V, an inter-electrode gap of 0.005-0.006 mm in a dielectric medium with the addition of 30 g/l of fine particles of zirconium oxide.
EFFECT: increased stability of the process of electro-erosion treatment of ceramic plates, an increase in wear resistance and decreased surface roughness of the treated ceramic plates.
