FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing high-quality image of depth map, in particular using data of automatic calculation of depth map of 2D image. System for enhancing a depth map of a 2D image comprises a face detector which analyses said 2D image to determine a face on said 2D image and determines position of said detected face on said 2D image. System, based on face position, gets depth of model, which includes at least one added to depth of model in response to detection of a specific shape of face in a position corresponding to detected face, which is a characteristic of detected face and combines a model of depth with depth map for map depth enhanced image quality by modifying depth information to depth map at a location corresponding to position of said particular shape in depth model with depth information associated with said shape model in depth.

EFFECT: high quality of depth map of 2D image.
