FIELD: food industry; pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to equipment used in medical area, veterinary services, control of production facilities and providing the possibility of trapping particles and microorganisms in ambient air, their count and identification. Portable device (7) to trap particles and microorganisms in ambient air comprises cyclonic chamber (8) of centrifugation with device (16) for external air supply and device for air outlet from cyclonic chamber (8). Cyclonic chamber is composite. Portable device is equipped with connection device (19), made T-shaped form, one of branches of which is connected with outlet device. Two other branch are made in the form of bent tubes (20), with possibility of connection through cylindrical nozzles (21) to air outlet devices in an individual mechanised respiratory protection device (A). Latter includes mask with tube, supply for the air supply through filter (4). Filter (4) is configured with possibility to mount the portable device (7). Method of trapping particles and microorganisms from ambient air, which includes suction of ambient air by means of portable equipment and subsequent separation of particles and microorganisms and their collection, implies the use of individual respiratory protection device (A) containing portable device (7) for trapping particles and microorganisms.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation due to expansion of technological capabilities, and trapping, separating and collecting particles and microorganisms from ambient air while ensuring protection of human respiratory organs from radiation, exposure to biological and/or chemical risks.
