FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to system and method for determining suitability for use of lubricants and time, when it is necessary to replace lubricants. Processor-based system for prediction of interval between replacements lubricant in engine on basis of multiple values of analytical parameter, measured in multiple specimens of used motor lubricant taken from engine for period of time, contains first input receiving multiple values of analytical parameters and multiple statistical values of analytical parameters for engine. These parameters indicate one or more characteristics of used lubricant. Also through first input values of analytical parameters and statistical values of analytical parameters are stored in memory of processor. Second input receives threshold value of analytical parameter for used lubricant in end of service interval and stores threshold value of analytical parameter in memory of processor. Definition module defines future value of analytical parameter for determination of interval between lubricant replacements by modelling on plurality of values of analytical parameters and multiple statistical values of analytical parameters. Then compares future value of analytical parameter with threshold analytical parameter to determine whether future value of analytical parameter threshold analytical parameter at end of service interval in order to provide output signal indicating on interval between changes of lubricant in engine. Simulation, performed by determination module is selected from regression model partial least squares and neural network model. Said value analytical and statistical parameters contain three or more analytical parameter of used lubricant. Also disclosed is method for prediction of interval between lubricant replacements in engine.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability due to prediction, based on analysis of oil replacement.
