SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a lubricating oil composition and a method for reducing the number of cases of premature ignition of a mixture at low rpm in an internal combustion engine with supercharging. Lubricating oil composition contains: more than 50 wt % of base oil selected from group consisting of base oil of I group, base oil of II group, base oil of III group, base oil IV group, base oil V group and mixtures thereof; amount of one or more overbased calcium-containing detergent additives with total alkaline value greater than 225 mg KOH/g when measured by ASTM D-2896 method, sufficient to provide from more than 900 ppm by weight to less than 1800 ppm by weight of calcium in the lubricating oil composition, relative to the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, wherein one or more overbased calcium-containing detergent additives include a compound selected from a detergent additive of overbased calcium sulphonate, detergent additive of overbased calcium phenolate and detergent additive of overbased calcium salicylate, and additive composition, which reduces premature ignition of mixture at low rpm, containing amount of one or more oil-soluble titanium-containing compounds, sufficient to provide from 10 ppm by weight to 1500 ppm by weight of titanium in lubricating oil composition, and/or amount of one or more tungsten-containing compounds sufficient to provide from 125 to 1000 ppm by weight of tungsten in lubricating oil composition, where both amounts are calculated relative to the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, and wherein said additive composition is effective to reduce the number of premature ignition of the mixture at low speed in the internal combustion engine with supercharging, lubricated with lubricating oil composition relative to number of cases of premature ignition of mixture at low rpm in same engine, lubricated with same lubricating oil composition, not containing one or more titanium-containing and/or one or more tungsten-containing compounds.
EFFECT: number of cases of premature ignition of mixture at low speed in internal combustion engine with supercharging can be reduced relative to number of cases of premature ignition of mixture at low rpm in same engine, lubricated with the same lubricating oil, which does not contain titanium- and/or tungsten-containing additive.
