FIELD: fat and oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a lubricating oil composition, a method for reducing premature ignition of a mixture (LSPI) at low rpm in an internal combustion engine with supercharging, as well as use of said composition for carrying out said method. Lubricating oil composition contains: more than 50 wt % of base oil selected from of group consisting of base oil of I group, base oil of II group, base oil of III group, base oil of IV group, base oil V and mixtures thereof, relative to the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, and an additive composition containing: an over-basic calcium-containing detergent, selected from detergent additive of overbased calcium sulphonate, detergent additive of overbased calcium phenolate, washing additive of overbased calcium salicylate and their mixtures, with total alkaline number of more than 250 mg KOH/g in an amount sufficient to provide from 1400 ppm to 1800 ppm by weight of calcium in the lubricating oil composition relative to the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, and one or more oil-soluble molybdenum-containing compounds in an amount sufficient to provide from 80 ppm to 1000 ppm by weight of molybdenum in the lubricating oil composition relative to the total weight of the lubricant composition, and where the lubricating oil composition contains not more than 150 ppm sodium by weight and 50 ppm by weight to 2000 ppm by weight of phosphorus relative to the total weight of the lubricating oil composition and has a weight ratio of sulfur, provided in the lubricating oil composition with said additive composition, to molybdenum weight in the lubricating oil composition from 2.44:1 to less than 18:1.

EFFECT: disclosed are lubricants with molybdenum and use thereof to reduce premature ignition of the mixture at low rpm.
